Precise Flowers – Dispatch procedure

  1. The truck must be precooled to < 10

    °c prior to loading start.

  2. Ensure boxes are properly labelled with correct information
  3. QC 4 to positively release packed flowers having attained a temperature of 2 – 5

    °c

  4. Handle boxes gently to avoid flower movement within boxes . Boxes should be loaded in an orderly manner to avoid any damage
  5. Ensure boxes are oriented properly
  6. Ensure door seals are in good condition to maintain temperature during transit.
  7. Loading should be done in covered bays protected from outside weather or a proper airtight dispatch that enable blowing cold air to the truck
  8. Loading process should take the shortest time possible leaving some space at the top for air circulation
  9. Indicate departure times and temperature on the delivery notes.
  10. Flower packing summary form should be completed, details confirmed by packing supervisor and loader both of whom countersign and E-mailed to freight handler, a copy is sent with the driver.
  11. The packhouse manager or assistant packhuse manager confirms the flower count and destination and authorizes dispatch.
