This policy ensures that the safety, legality and quality of raw materials, packaging, work in progress and finished products are not compromised due to the use of non -accurate equipment.
To ensure this, all measuring equipment are calibrated and validated within specified parameters.
Intervals and frequency of calibrations for each device are known and understood using recognised and authorized methods.
Current certificates for test equipment shall be kept at relevant intervals. Records of all validations are kept according to frequency and results recorded on the validation form.
Any faulty device is removed from use and calibrated or disposed off. In case of breakage especially devices made of glass like material) the device is immediately removed from the processing line and consequent steps taken as per the glass breakage procedure.
Procedures exist to record actions taken when equipment is found faulty. All devices are kept in clean dry place away from contamination and damage.
