IN PROGRESS QUALITY CHECKS PROCEDURE
This ensures that flower material being packed meets the legal and customer specifications with respect to cut stage, size, colour, shape, mix, suitable container and packaging, labels, flower food , appropriate selling period and any other attribute that may affect the quality of the final product.

The raw materials is checked at the following points:
1. An intake
2. In packing shed during and after preparation
3. Prior to packing – finished products checks
4.After packing (finished product quality checks.

Quality controllers conduct checks on the listed attributes on at least 5% – 10% of the product batch at least every 1 hour during production.
In process monitoring will include measurements of equipment and operating conditions.

If a product is found to be out of specification, corrective actions are necessary

The following steps are followed.
1.Stop process or product found to be out of specification.

2.Report fault to production supervisor and parking manager.
3.File out a non-conformance and corrective action report and on line QAS check sheet.
4.Quaratine the product for investigation with assistance from the relevant managers.
5 Inform the packing manager
6. Obtain authority to restart production process once fault is corrected. Confirm that it is within spec by full process check.
7. Packing manager to determine action relating to any quarantined stock. Action to be documented.
8. Documents and report sent to pack house or production manager and parking manager.
